Spring is coming!

Yes, the sun is rising earlier and staying up later. Love it. So do the chickens. Now we are getting 2 eggs every other day. Why the pause in between? Who knows. Perhaps there is someone out there doing studies on such things. We are happy that the egg carton is filling over the week, and we can have fresh eggs Saturday AND Sunday! yippeee. Right?

The snow is melting, and we can see ponds forming out there in the back forty. Time to think about planting. More broccoli. Just enough zucchini and beans and tomatoes. Carrrots did surprisingly well after a few false starts. Potatoes are down in the basement just ready to be cut and planted. Seeds are waiting.... We are waiting... Sunshine, where are you?

Today, signs of spring lept  into my vision. Red winged blackbirds, blue birds... hallelujah! March 21 is getting closer each day, and my hands get itchy to get going. Where are the gloves? Where are the trowels? How's that compost bin doing?? Where the heck are the zillion worms were were expecting to find down in there?? Waiting for a better offer??? No, its all good.

Waiting, patiently.... sometimes, not so patiently. It's all GOOD!
